One-Day Surgery

Lipofilling

Lipofilling, also known as fat transfer, is a modern technique for body contouring and skin rejuvenation that uses the patient’s own fat tissue. The procedure involves harvesting fat from selected areas of the body, carefully processing it, and then transplanting it into areas requiring volume correction or revitalization.

Thanks to the presence of stem cells, lipofilling not only restores lost volume but also stimulates the skin’s natural regenerative processes, improving its quality and appearance.

What Does the Lipofilling Procedure Involve?

The procedure is minimally invasive, and patients can usually return to their daily activities the very next day. The lipotransfer process consists of three stages:

1
Liposuction
Usually taken from the abdomen or thighs using a thin cannula under local anesthesia
2

Processing the material

The collected fat is purified to obtain a concentrate rich in viable fat and stem cells.

3
Fat transfer

Using a fine needle or cannula, the processed material is injected into the chosen area, such as the face, breasts, or buttocks.

The Use of Lipofilling in Body Contouring

Applications of Lipotransfer in Aesthetic Medicine and Plastic Surgery:

  • Breast augmentation and shaping – a natural alternative to implants, allowing correction of asymmetry and improvement of firmness.
  • Buttock contouring – adding volume and lift without the use of implants.
  • Body contour correction – filling tissue defects, atrophic scars, or irregularities after liposuction.
  • Hand rejuvenation – restoring volume and a youthful appearance to the backs of the hands.

Facial Lipofilling – Natural Rejuvenation

Thanks to the presence of stem cells, the transplanted fat stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, leading to improved skin elasticity and hydration. On the face, lipofilling makes it possible to:

  • Smooth wrinkles and folds – such as nasolabial folds or tear troughs.
  • Enhance facial contours – highlight the cheekbones and correct asymmetry.
  • Reduce dark circles under the eyes – restore volume in hollow areas and improve skin tone.

Advantages of Fat Transfer

  • Natural results – the use of the patient’s own tissue eliminates the risk of allergic reactions or rejection.
  • Safety – the minimally invasive nature of the procedure reduces the risk of complications.
  • Long-lasting effects – part of the transplanted fat integrates with surrounding tissues, ensuring durable results.
  • Versatility – the possibility of shaping several areas of the body at the same time.

Contraindications to the Procedure

Lipofilling is not recommended in the following cases: active infection or inflammation at the treatment site, blood clotting disorders, autoimmune diseases, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
