PRP Therapy for Stage I Urinary Incontinence

Treatment of Stage I urinary incontinence with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a biological therapy designed to improve the function of the urethral sphincter by injecting PRP derived from the patient’s own blood. It is recommended for women experiencing mild urinary incontinence, most often noticeable during physical activity such as running or jumping.

Many women undergoing PRP therapy report significant improvement or even complete resolution of urinary incontinence symptoms, along with enhanced sexual quality of life, including stronger or newly achieved vaginal orgasms.

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. After the treatment, patients can return to normal daily activities, though it is advised to avoid physical exertion for 24 hours.
